We of PIR.SA.FA. have always thought that there is a lot of confusion on the topic "plastic" and with this news we want to talk to you further about the correct use of plastic so demonized and the alternative in “compostable", object of the EU Directive 2019/904 which will come into force on 3 July 2021 and which concerns only a list of specific DISPOSABLE accessories and objects.

Many companies in our sector believe that eliminating the use of plastic products accessories (and not all of them are disposable!) or replacing them with others in compostable / paper / wood or other, it will help reduce both environmental and marine pollution... In our opinion this is just a marketing strategy designed because of the lack of knowledge of the subject. We want to provide you with a small and humble help that I hope will illuminate your future choices and be a clarifier for usefulness in responding to customer requests.
